#17: Liquefaction
Invented by: Osmiridium College
Type: Utility
Complexity: Medium-high (C5)
We use it for: party tricks, infiltration, subaquatic respiration and movement
Appearance: water with bubbles drifting around in it that never rise to the surface. Viscosity of water.
Taste: tastes like the wateriest water you'll ever drink.
Effect: turns the consumant into liquid. They retain their form, but become transparent, composed entirely of water, and can deform into other shapes if they are adventurous enough to do so. This permits them to squeeze through apertures or gaps that they would not otherwise fit through in a solid state. While they are in this state, they are immune to physical damage, but are vulnerable to extreme temperature fluctuations that would freeze or boil them.
Notes
- A recipe that came out of the college. I heard they went through several test subjects trying to get a working version, so no one wants to put their name to it, and if they're smart, it'll stay that way. I took Sole to task the other day for letting the college students experiment on mortals from the Waking. He claims that the mortals agreed to it, but knowing him, he probably tricked them into it with wordplay and ambiguity. -Miqo
- Not much to be done about the taste. I've done everything I can to spice it up without changing the effect, but it still comes out tasting like water. -Miqo
