Du'Vel opened the one of the large wooden doors into the room and ushered in the first of the townsfolk waiting outside. A young looking man walked in behind Du'Vul and  then past him, into the center of the room, standing opposite to Julia, the summoning stone Julia has prepared earlier between them. The man held out his right hand and showed Julia a gray, smooth, and round stone the size of his palm.

Julia moved her right hand over the stone before lighting placing her palm on it. A prompt appeared in her vision. She went over the ornate line.

-You are attempting to use Convert Mana Stone. Cost: 50 Heart Mana. Convert this mana this mana stone? Yes or No -

Her thoughts lingered on Yes and the translucent prompt vanished from her vision. Her mana dropped by 50 points as she felt it travel through her body, out through her hand and into the stone. It glowed pink for a moment before the settling to become a clear light pink gem, almost taking the appearance of glass. Another prompt appeared in her vision.

-You have converted an empty mana stone into a Courting Stone-

"Thank you, matchmaker," the man said with a bow.

"Present your stone to your intended and fill your moments together with love," Julia said to him before he turned and left the room.

A dozen more people came in to have their mana stones converted to courting stones. Julia helped them one by one, giving herself enough time to rest and replenish her mana before the next person.

De'Vel closed the door after a young woman left and turned back to her Julia.

"That was the last of the stone conversions," he told her. "Next we have our families hoping to summon."

Julia reexamined her summoning stone on the floor, and looked back up to De'Vel.

"I'm ready for them now."

De'Vel walked opened the door and spoke to someone a moment before stepping back and allowing a man and woman into the room. The man was tall with light blonde hair and the woman had short curly brown hair. They both wore just tunics and and pants. The met Julia at the center of the room, also stopping across the summoning stone on the floor.

The woman put her hand forward, in it sat a brightly shining pink gemstone the size of her plam.

Julia examined the stone.

-Courting Stone. 1,142 Heart Mana.-

She smiled, "Amazing job you two. The courting stone is full and has more than enough mana for a summoning."

Julia turned her palm up, and the woman placed the courting stone in her palm. Julia bent down towards her summoning stone and placed it in the appropriate spot, a circle within the the spell meant to draw and house the energy for the spell.

She stood back up and stretched her hands up over the circle, casting out her energy into the spell.

-You are attempting to cast the Summoning Spell of Rebirth. Cost: 1,000 Heart Mana. Using a Courting Stone belonging to Meena and Tu'ul, that contains 1,142 Heart Mana. Would you like to spend the mana and cast the spell? Yes or No-

Julia selected Yes and the room grew quiet and dark.

The lines that made up the spell circle on the summoning stone lit up, a pink glow moving through the lines from the outside of the circle to the center. Once the circle that contained the courting stone lit up, the spell circle as a whole grew even brighter, appearing to be the only light in the room. Energy moved around all of them as the spell become more active, a strange song filling the air. Julia could feel the force of the energy in the circle pushing against its edge, but he focused her own energy in the spell, keeping it in. The light from the circle lit up the ceiling and imagery began to appear in the glow of the room.

Above the three of them shown an image of a man raising a hammer and bringing it down upon an anvil, his story erupting from Julia's lips.

"Your child will have the soul of a master smith," Julia said, her eyes flowing bright pink.

The image changed, now the man had his hands spread, stone and dirt twirled around him at high speeds.

"This smith was a great Earth Caster," Julia said, as the imagery turned to the powerfully built man and swinging an ax. "He was a great warrior, who defended his people with amazing skills in the ax."

The imagery began to fade as the lights grew brighter, the song around them suddenly becoming much louder. The pink light started to focus above the summoning stone, almost appearing solid and taking shape. As it grew brighter the shape turned into resemble something small and human. It settled down on the summoning stone before dimming. The song in the room faded with light and what was left was a small baby girl.

The man who had came with the woman put a blanket over the baby and brought her up to meet them both. The smiled, laugh and cried as the baby cried, mad about nothing in particular.

"She's beautiful," the mother said. "Thank you Matchmaker."

Julia's body was exhausted, but she smiled back at the two of them.

"Raise her well, and care for her as you have cared for each other," she said.

A prompt appeared for Julia.

-You have cast the Summoning Spell of Rebirth. The courting stone has been converted to a Birth Stone assigned to summoned being.-

Julia reached down and grabbed the new item, handing it to the couple.

The bowed to her before leaving the room with their new child.

Julia looked down at the spell circle, smiling as she noticed no wearing of her work. Her control over the energy was nearly perfect and she could probably run it through this same summoning stone several times.

Du'Vel let in the next family, another couple. Julia went through the rituals two more times. One soul belonging to a Fire Caster and swordsman. The next belonging to a Wind Caster that was a master musician. Both were baby boys and were met with as much enthusiasm as the first child she summoned.

"This is the last couple of the evening," Du'Vel said over to Julia, who Du'Vel was surprised didn't look the least bit tired.

The Matchmakers who had come before had seemed to be haggard after only one summon.

Julia nodded and Du'Vel opened the door.

A couple walked in, following Du'Vel to the center of the room.

The woman was short, her green tunic and dress the traditional nature caster wear, while her spouse wore brown and black tunic and pants. An Earth caster.

The stopped at the center of the room and the man presented their courting stone. Juila took it.

-Courting Stone. 3,222 Heart Mana-

Julia looked up at them, "Have you been together for a long time?"

"It doesn't feel very long at all," the woman laughed, he spouse chuckling along with her.

Julia smiled and set the stone down.

He reached out her hands and focused.

-You are attempting to cast the Summoning Spell of Rebirth. Cost: 1,000 Heart Mana. Using a Courting Stone belonging to Isabella and Cliff, that contains 3,222 Heart Mana. Would you like to spend the mana and cast the spell? Yes or No-

Julia selected Yes, and the room grew brighter.

She looked around, a little confused at this visual difference, but was determined to be professional and not lose focus as she felt the spell activate.

The summoning song filled the room, louder than before and the energy moving around the room seemed more violent, pushing the chairs and throwing up dust. Julia could feel a strong pull within the spell, but she was more than capable enough of controlling the energy. The imagery began to appear above them and she heard Du'Vel gasp.

Above them was the image of a child, a young boy wearing strange clothing, and being held by a young girl. He was hurt. A large black spear had been run through his chest. The girl holding him was crying. There was a strange sound in the air, their voices were a chaotic string of noises that none of them could understand. Suddenly the image shifted, the young girl holding the boy started to vanish, her grasp on the boy fading. She seem to say something to him, but again it was just strange noise that they couldn't hear; however, the desperation in the sounds was evident. The boy laid alone, blood pooling from the wound. Tears ran Julia's face, and as the boy opened his mouth, Julia herself spoke.

"Leira," she said. "I'm scared. Where did you go."

Then, something in the imagery shifted. The summoning song stopped and from the edges of the room, a darkness started to seep in. Julia looked around, the shadows at the edge of the room started to take shape. There were creatures there, but she couldn't make them out, they moved closer to the child and she felt panic throughout her body.

She had to do something.

Julia reached up to the image of the boy, and her hand wrapped around his and she pulled. The light of the room and the shadows dancing around them condensed, all pulling into her hand. Even though she knew it was impossible, she could feel the child's hand, the warmth of his body. She pulled him down and the light in the room coalesced in the image of the boy. It all centered on him and Julia felt her hand burning with the energy.

There was a loud bang, and her summoning stone shattered, releasing the energy running through it. All of them were knocked off their feet by the sheer force of the explosion.

Julia's head was spinning, but she slowly regained her senses. She looked towards the center of the room, seeing the pieces of her ruined summoning stone thrown about.

There, where her summoning stone had once sat, lay the body of the boy. Not a baby, but young adult, almost near adulthood.

The woman, Isabella was already as his side, putting a blanket over his naked body.

She looked up at Julia.

"He's beautiful," she said sadly, as a tear running down the left cheek.
